5 weeks old!

She was a bit warm at nap time but still needs to be swaddled to settle down to sleep so this is how we solved it!

4 weeks old! It was a really big week, meeting lots of family and being social!

I can't believe it, but she will be a month old this week! She has changed so much in that short time...she has more head control, she is developing a personality, she is starting to smile, and she is into a good (most of the time) of a sleeping/eating routine. And we are feeling more normal in our new life as parents! She is growing lots too...her newborn clothes are getting a little tighter and her last weight (last week) was 8lbs 11oz (she was 6lbs 15oz at birth!).

On Saturday, while we did yardwork, the dogs protected the yard from squirrels!

Brad planting the cucumbers. He roto-tilled and planted the whole garden. Can't wait to get some veggies later this summer!

She's starting to smile! It happens only a couple times a day and is hard to capture on the camera, but this is one of them! Can't wait till we get lots more!

Here's a little smile...she has to think about it for awhile before we get a big smile!

Today (5/21) was a big day...she had her first little bit of tummy time...you can see how thrilled she is by it! It didn't last too long! But I am hoping she will start liking it more as her neck strength gets better.

She also napped in her big crib for the first time today (5/21)! She had been napping in her little crib in our room during the day, but we decided to try the big crib today and she did great. She will still stay in our room at night...not quite ready for that transition! But it's fun to finally be using the nursery!
