Camping-end of July

We got brave and went tent camping with Lisa and Ryan and Noah and my friend Elisabeth and her husband, Kerry, and their daughter, Rowan.  Abigial had a rough time, but I guess that's camping with a toddler!  Overall, though, we had a good time!

Having dinner while we were setting up camp...this is her "trying not to smile, why are you taking another picture" face :)

Brianna hanging out in the playpen while we got camp set up!  Not many places to lay an infant down, so we moved this little pack and play wherever the shade was!

Nothing like a little potty action right in camp!

This girl is always smiling!  This was one of the mornings and it was kinda chilly...!

See...kinda chilly!  And obviously this was pre-pacifier dump...

Brianna hanging out with Auntie Lizard and Rowan sportin' her cool shades!

This guy makes the best darn sandwiches ever!

Sounds asleep in the tent...it was nice and toasty by this time...

Exploring the river near our campsite

Rowan wasn't really a fan of the cold water!

Hot, sleepy baby!

Cousin time!!

Kissing cousins?!  :)

New things and fun times (still July)!

Uncle Andy in town for his reunion and got to meet the babies for the first time!

Grandma cuddles are always the best

Trying out the high chair...looks like she likes it!

Finally time to get rid of these...I think I was more anxious about it and took it harder than Abigail did!  She was only using them at bedtime and in the car, but getting rid of them meant that she's not a baby anymore :(

The first night we cut a hole in the nipple to deflate it, but that didn't seem to phase her, so...

The next day we cut the tip off completely, and...

She saw it, before she even put it in her mouth, and said, "uh oh, it's broken, it's trash" and went and threw 2 of them away in the trash.
She only asked for the pacifiers for a couple days, but never really cried when she didn't get them.  We just reminded her that they were broken and she threw them away!

This was the "prize" she picked out for getting rid of the pacifier...now she sleeps with the doggie every night!

Brad and I usually tag-team bath time and put them in the tub together, then each take a girl to dry off and get dressed.  He was gone this night, so I laid Brianna down in the hallway while I got Abigail out of the tub and dressed...guess she was ready for bed!

Abigail loves putting her baby in Brianna's things (carseat, playmat, jumper!)

Then she tried to pick up the car seat like Mommy carries it (hooking her arm under the handle)!

She covers it with the blanket then tells me, "Baby sleeping, be quiet, no screaming"...do you think she's heard that one before?!!

Happy girl!

Finally got Brianna's sign painted and hung!

4th of July

Brianna is dressed and ready to go...Abigial's still in her jammies!

Waiting for the parade to start

Hanging out in the stroller

Watching the parade with Daddy

Waving at the floats and people going by

Waving her flag around

Abigail loved the parade!  It was the first time we have been to one with her and she was enthralled.  We went to a friends' house that evening for dinner and fireworks and she did her first sparklers, but unfortunately, I didn't get any pics on my camera.
