Wow, I can't believe Abigail is only a month away from her first birthday! How time has flown! She is so much fun...so curious and discovering new things all the time. She is finally mobile, which makes her so happy! But she is her mother's child, and is doing things her own way...she scoots around on her bottom, using her legs to propel her, not on her hands and knees like a traditional crawl!
The first thing she got into that she wasn't supposed to was the wine rack. And the first bottle she pulled out was a bottle of red...a girl after her Daddy's heart! Luckily the wine rack is low to the ground and the bottle came out of the rack onto the carpet, so no damage done! And then yesterday I watched her scoot all the way from the family room to her bedroom to the bookshelf and pull all the books out. She was on a mission, she knew right where she was going! She is also "talking" lots and is pointing at things she wants or is talking about. She also definitely understands lots, like "no touch" and "sit down" (esp. in the tub!). And speaking of the tub, that is still, by far, her favorite time of the day! Can't wait to get her to the lake and pool this summer!
We have had our ups and downs with illnesses this winter...thank you daycare! Can't wait till spring and summer when there won't be so many bugs going around! And she is working on teething all four of her top front teeth! Can't wait for those to come in!
As we are gearing up for her first birthday party, I am getting quite nostalgic thinking about all the amazing things and blessings we've experienced with her! What a ride it's been so far!
