Having a pre-bed chat with Daddy!
This is what we call the Daddy recliner! Both girls love it!
So, this last weekend we decided it was time for potty training. We did a three day potty training method. Undies, no pants, no diapers, and no leaving home. We had to be a very short distance to the bathroom at all times. And we had to watch her like a hawk...any cue of starting to go potty, off to the bathroom we ran (literally!!)! The first day (Friday), she went through about 30 pairs of underwear and I washed lots of loads of laundry! It was intense and a learning experience for all of us!
First, of countless, potty-training outfits, Day 1...she picked it out :) It lasted about 20 minutes!
Brianna's take on all the potty-training hubbub!
Floor time! The wild outfits in these pictures are thanks to potty-training, but it worked and we didn't leave the house!
"Helping" Brianna with her pacifier!
Watercolor painting! It was a challenge to find enough things to do to keep her entertained at home...we had to be about 15 seconds from a bathroom at all times!
Planting and watering the pansies that Aunt Kathy brought us!
Brianna's view on the action (just inside the sliding glass door!)
Cool cat!
When we couldn't handle being stuck at home any longer, we ventured to Auntie Lisa and Uncle Ryan's for Brad and Abigail to meet Noah...and we were still within a short run to the bathroom (except in the car, I think Brad and I held our breath the whole car ride there and home, but Abigail did well!). No accidents at Auntie's and she even used the potty!
Abigail meeting Noah for the first time...she wasn't sure if she was really interested!
Nanny getting some Brianna snuggles!
Brianna and Noah...she looks so huge, it's amazing how much they grow in a month!
Abigail giving baby Noah kisses
It is now Tuesday after our potty-training weekend and Abigail is doing very well! I am still totally on edge...waiting for the accident to start! I suppose in time I will learn to trust her to tell me :)! No accidents on Sunday or today. She was in daycare yesterday and had quite a few accidents, I think it will just take some learning on how to navigate the daycare potty situation. Overall, though, I am very pleased with how well she's doing and where we are with everything at this point!
