Surgery time-tonsils and adenoids gone!!

Hanging out in pre-op waiting for our turn!

Playing in the pre-op playroom...what an awesome setup they have for kids!

I got to go back to the OR with her, they put her to sleep with the gas first, then start her IV and do everything ouchie after she's gone to sleep.  It was so smooth and she didn't seem scared at all.  This is the cool outfit I got to wear into the OR!

In the recovery room with Daddy...she was a champ, she ate a whole blue popsicle and some apple juice!

Then we got moved upstairs (we had to stay one night)...mac and cheese was the meal of choice...for lunch and dinner!

Lots of wagon time, thanks to Daddy for pulling her around!

More mac and cheese and a movie!

Upgraded to the car!

IV out, ready to go home!

The first of many movie hours at home!

Sandwich for lunch...special day, eating in the family room, watching a movie!

Coloring on the couch!

Sticker chart for taking her meds...every 5 stickers, she gets a prize!

She loves pushing her own meds into her mouth!  And you can see, she felt good enough to want to get her Halloween costume on for answering the door (this was the day after surgery)

Passing candy out to the trick or treaters!

I think this was during naptime...yikes!

Thank you Curious George for entertaining this kiddo who doesn't feel well, but I am so tired of watching you!!

Couchtime with sister!

Our nighttime line-up....meds every three hours for pain (day and night) and antibiotics twice during the day...needless to say she's filling up that sticker chart pretty fast!

Slurpee makes everything better!

As of today, we are only post-op Day 5.  Days 3, 4, and 5 have been the roughest.  I am working really hard and creatively to keep her drinking fluids.  And we are stuck inside, so I think we are all going a little stir-crazy!  But today was a tiny bit better than yesterday, so I am really hoping for a turn-around soon!
